The Holidays!

The first big holiday of the season can be best summed up as follows:  Poop and Puke.  Poop . . . and . . . puke.

We all have been stuck by whatever Monner brought home from her last day of day care, and let's just say Out Like Lion.

Before this set in and I find myself not caring anymore about hitting the bathroom on our floor (um, seven eight times so far), we did jam.

I give you MonnerJam:

Allie Goes!

To recap the pre-holiday season, a lot is changing!

1.  We have two teef!

2.  We have ear infections finally clearing... we think.

3.  We have found our nanny! (We're somewhat sad we had to do this, Allie LOVED her skool so much, but the compound illnesses was too much).  We hope she can go back to Baby Bears next fall.

4.  I'm in my crib!  All night! I miss my little Monner in my arms at night, but, alas, this has been a long time coming and we are all a little happier for it.  I might even hit the gym again. (whoa!  what?... let's not be rash).

5.  We've booked our honeymoon!  I'm not sure how I'm going to leave my little Monner.  But it's paid for, alas, thy shall be done.

In celebration of all these milestones, I give you some pics of Allie on some of HER vacations...

When the Dog Bites . . .

As I look around the house and see that floor space is diminishing at the rate of about 2 square feet per day, I think of all the things you love and why it's ok we have them all.  Here. In our living room.

So, here are a few of your favorite things . . . (Yes, Mama is singing that song again):

The very first thing you loved.  SO much so that Dad went and bought you a four pack!  I give you... your bestie... GAUZIE  BLANKEY!!  You love to eat it, pull on it, grab it, and stuff it in your face.

The Zoo!  I'm a big and tall GIRAFFE!

Of Course you love your Monster!  His eyes are delicious!
This is your favorite snacky.  No Mam, plain Mum-Mums will not do!  They must be Nanner Mum-Mums

You LOVE to chew on your Razzie!

Dis is your Sofie... She is very very delicious and helps to soothe your two new toofs!

Sweet Taters!  Anytime is the right time for deez guys!

WHEELY RIDER!!

Last, but not least, the best present dad ever got you.  The Time Machine.  Hours... HOURS of fun spent here in your "office."  Sometimes I think you're going to plum bounce into space from this guy!

In other news:

We're searching for a nanny for you this week.  You've been soooo sick with the danged ol' ears, it pains me to take you away from your beloved "school" but I think you'll be happier when you don't have to battle all that Snorkle!

p.s. Please work on keeping your socks on.

Dear Allison:

You'll be SEVEN months on Sunday.  I can hardly believe it.  You have brought so many people so much joy!  I've been meaning to write this for you ever since Grandpa Stuart showed me the video of your daddy being given you to hold for the first time in the nursery to hold up and show you off to all of your fans.  You were SO TINY!  I missed out on so much that day.  I was upstairs in ICU, but I knew you were in good hands, Grandmas, Grandpas, Gunkles and Auntie Shannon there to make sure nobody lost they's minds. But I sometimes feel a tinge in my heart that I wasn't the first to hold you and see you so soon after your miraculous birth!  But I think you make up for that every day with your silly antics and beautiful disposition.

Your first Halloween was soo fun, you had your glow sticks that you thought were the bees Knees!  I practically had to pry them from your hands before bed.

You sleep in your big-girl crib now, but sometimes Mom and Dad like to bring you back into our bed (otherwise known as "Snuggletown").

The other night you wouldn't go back to sleep so I decided to pick you up out of your crib, you went from crying to laughing.  Laughing!!!  At me, presumably.  Tricky Monster!  You already know how to get your way and get us to RESPEK UR AWTHORITAYZ!

In short, I can't believe how amazing and beautiful you are.  By the time this blog book is put into print for you, you'll likely be doing all SORTS of amazing things!

Here's some memories from Month Six of your life :)
